The speed and accuracy delivered by KipwareQTE® is done through our database file concept. These simple files make quoting fast and easy ... and more important, add consistency to every quote because you are using the same parameters for every quote. These files are simple to create or modify using the KipwareQTE® fill-in-the-blank forms and interface. Calculating costs is simply a matter of choosing the material or tool or machine from the file ... everything else is done automatically by the software. Some of the database files and features available :

• Material Cost - Using a database that holds the costs for your various materials, or your direct inputs, you can calculate material costs using weight, length, bar stock, plate stock, pieces, castings and forgings. Additional features include the automatic calculations for the number of bars, number of plates or other stock required for the job.
• Tooling Cost - KipwareQTE® has one of the best tool estimating modules of any system on the market. Using a database that holds costs for various tooling enables you to add these costs to the estimate quickly and easily. Using other simple inputs, KipwareQTE® will calculate number of tools required as well as detailed tooling costs per part and as a total.
• Labor Cost - Using inputs from the WorkCenter Cost Database, or direct inputs, KipwareQTE® makes estimating labor cost quick and easy ... and more important ... consistent. KipwareQTE® integrates with our KipwareCYC® Machining CycleTime Estimating software and users can import cycltime estimates created in KipwareCYC® for even faster labor cost estimating.
• Non-Machining Costs - you can easily include costs or services that are not machining related such as set-up, programming, packing, shipping, plating or even amortize costs over a desired time period. Back to Top

• Print FORMATTED QUOTES from your cost estimates with up to six different quantities and separate discount factors for each quantity. Printouts can be to your printer or to a text file for editing with your favorite word processor or output in spreadsheet format for importing into EXCEL or any other spreadsheet program..
• Automatically create INVOICES from your estimates. Users have the ability to alter data as well as the look of the formatted INVOICE ... even the ability to add a custom company logo to the INVOICE.
• When it comes time to machine - you can quickly and easily print an ORDER PROCESSING form that lists all the material, tooling, labor and other requirements to complete the job. Order your material and tooling and schedule your machining easily using this complete processing flow document that is compiled and printed automatically.
• Easily performs "WHAT IF" scenarios. You can manipulate any data in either the cost or cycletime estimating programs. This means that you can play with material and machines while estimating a cycletime. Or play with labor rates, material costs, tooling costs, quantities or with just about any other factor while cost estimating. You can instantly see the results, using the power of your PC and KipwareQTE®, to figure the best costs for you and your customer.
• Allow you to view your costs in PIE CHART or BAR GRAPH form. These simple features give you a complete and easy way to view your figures, see the high cost areas and easily adjust as required. Back to Top
